  • Who cuts and colors your hair?

I do, with the help of my BF Sam whom I’ve trained to cut my hair into a million crazy styles. The great thing about my hair is that I don’t much care about  it — whatever it ends up looking like is what I rock for the day. Cutting my own hair also eliminates the outlandish price that comes along with a professional outside-the-box cut and color, which can easily run over $100.

  • What do you use to dye your hair all of those crazy bright colors?

A die-hard fan of Sally’s Beauty Supply, I prefer three hair color brands depending on the color I’m going for. For rich, long-lasting reds, I use L’Oreal Excellence HiColor HiLight, usually in Red or Magenta. When I’m going for crazy colors like orange, blue, green, purple, pink, etc., I use Manic Panic and Beyond The Zone Color Jamz.

  • What are your favorite makeup brands?

The majority of my makeup is MAC, something I’ve worked hard for and I’m very proud of. I also love Dior, Smashbox, NARS, and Benefit.

  • Which specific beauty products would you never want to find yourself out of?

DiorShow mascara by Dior, MAC StudioFix pressed powder, Clean & Clear oil-free SPF 15 moisturizer (this appears to have been discontinued this summer and replaced by their new Morning Glow Moisturizer), and Blistex Silk & Shine SPF 15 lip balm.

  • You mention celebrity gossip as one of your guilty pleasures. Who are your favorite celebs?

Lindsay Lohan will always be my favorite; I’ve had a celebrity crush on her since the Mean Girls days. I also adore Miley Cyrus though I almost hate to admit it and I find myself enamored by Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz (in my opinion the most attractive couple in Hollywood by far). Anne Hathaway, Hilary Duff, Jennifer Garner (a.k.a. Hollywood’s best Mom), and the fantastic Sharon Osbourne also top my list of faves.

  • Who are your favorite comedians?

This one’s easy: Russell Brand, Eddie Izzard, Jim Gaffigan, Daniel Tosh, Ron White, and Ralphie May.

  • What are a few of your favorite bands?

Rise Against and Linkin Park will always be my favorite bands of all time. Two other favorites are Eminem and 30 Seconds To Mars.

  • What web hosting service do you use?

I am going to plead the fifth here, as I am extremely unhappy with my hosting service. If you have ever been unable to view my website for any amount of time, you can probably understand my frustration with this issue. I am doing my best to work with the hosting company to have my website online at all times, however it remains periodically unavailable from time to time. I look forward to resolving this issue.

  • When did you start this website?

I started this blog in 2007. I bought the NotAnotherPrincess domain name in February of 2009. This website has been up and running at this address since March 2009.

  • Do you use any web design software?

I am running a WordPress blog platform. It is a fantastic interface that I highly recommend if you are an intrepid person familiar with basic HTML coding.

  • How often do you post?

Ideally, I’d like to post once a day. I’ve found that realistically, I post every other day or so. Sometimes more often, sometimes less. It really depends on how busy I am and how inspired I feel.

  • You swear like a sailor. How can you throw words like “fuck” around so carelessly? Don’t you care about offending people?

I do swear like a sailor, and I don’t censor my language when I write my posts. In real life I censor my mouth as needed, but I’m a firm believer in adults freely using adult words. If my language offends you, my blog might not be the right one for you to read.

  • Why do you have a website?

This website is my way of documenting my life, and allows me to share that story as it happens with anyone who enjoys watching it unfold.
