MRI’s are HOT.

31 July 2008

my brain MRI last night was a nightmare. not only did the magnets heat up The Girls’ body jewelry to nearly excruciating temperatures, but i had a full-blown panic attack with just 5 minutes left in the MRI. of course they weren’t counting down for me or anything, so i felt like i’d been in there for years and had no actual sense of time.

i’m glad it’s over, but The Girls are sore today.

talk about excitement!

27 July 2008

things are getting exciting around here. yesterday HP and i had a 2-way car alarm installed on my car which includes keyless entry. i’m absolutely lovin’ that, even though it only works on the driver’s side. i call it “extra protection” lol but really it’s b/c the door lock sensor is messed up on that one side. sadly, they weren’t able to fix my driver’s side window, that’s just going to be something HP has to tackle one of these weekends. maybe then i’ll finally have fully working automatic windows and locks. lol

since we went to a car audio place to get the alarm installed, we also talked them into fixing my crazy audio wiring going on and had them put power to the amp HP installed in my trunk. come to find out, the bass tube HP had given me was blown, so we ended up walking out of the place w/no thump at all, but the upside being we knew the amp was good. we checked out the bass speakers w/boxes at the audio place, but they were outrageously priced… i guess they live up to their name (Outrageous Audio). LOL

anyway, we ended up stopping by a sort of pawn shop called Stuff down in Clackamas to see what kind of subs they had. thankfully for us, there was a 12″ Pioneer sub in a huge cube box for $80!! that’s an incredible deal and with $20 of HPs help, we bought it! hooked it up in the parking lot and thumped all the way home. ;)

i now have serious thump in the trunk. it’s insane. it’s like standing in front of the speakers at a club. it was love at first bass hit. =) i can’t wait to show it off. it shakes my entire car, you can feel it in your chest. talk about HECK YES!! :)

disappointed

18 July 2008

yesterday had some great times, but in general was less than steller. maybe i’d gotten myself SO excited that the actual happenings just didn’t compare to what i was expecting. maybe i should have expected something more like what actually happened.

i’m SO happy HP is home, though we haven’t got to spend much time together yet. we pretty much passed out as soon as we got home. this weekend will definitely include lots of QT HP time. <3

the calm before the storm

17 July 2008

today is such an exciting day, but none of it has happened yet. it’s like the calm before the storm i suppose. the things i’m excited about today:

  1. my review is scheduled for this afternoon.
  2. dad and rooski are taking me to dinner tonight!! obviously that’s incredibly exciting.
  3. i’m picking HP up from the airport late tonight, i’m SO effing excited. i absolutely cannot wait to be in his arms. it feels like he’s been gone for ages. yay for not sleeping alone tonight. =) that makes me a happy girl.

i am, however, super proud of myself! i made it! HP was gone nearly all week and i survived w/o a single panic attack. the house is now spotless and ready for his return! annnnnd maybe i can rope my dad and brother to come check out our homestead… and my car that ’s on blocks in the driveway. LOL that’s right, i’m rockin’ the beast this week. w00t. lol

i need my HP. :’(
