today is friday and thank god. seriously, i’m ready for the weekend. it’s supposed to be 94 degrees today, saturday and sunday are supposed to be the same. most people here are dreading the heat, i’m encouraging it. the hotter it is, the more apt we are to spend the day at the river. which is exactly where we want to be!

so i got a new enV last week and so far i eff’ing love it. HP calls it my mini laptop, the thing does more stuff than i’ll ever need to use it for. lol i even have msn messenger. how cool is that? and it totally looks just like an IM window. crazy. after 2 normal motorolas and then the pink razr V3, i will never own another motorola.

my endpaper mitts are causing me serious stress and frustration. at first i was accidentally using the 1s instead of the 3’s i was supposed to switch to for the fair isle so it was wayyyy too small. couldn’t even fit it over my knuckles. so not going to work. finally realized i’d forgotten to go up to my 3’s and ripped back to my lifeline i’d put after my last round of ribbing. started pattern again for what must have been the 3rd or 4th time and after 5 rounds realized i was forgetting to do the second needle on some rows so the pattern was messed up. this is my second time reading fair isle and it’s stressing me out. lol i KNOW i can do it, i did an arglye i-pod sock for god’s sake. it’s just going to take patience. oh and being sober when i’m trying to do this would probably help, too. lol easier said than done. ;)

for some reason, we we have the slightest fight, i automatically think i’m walking on eggshells and fear that he may break up with me at any moment. i need to remind myself that fighting is normal and w/o a bad time every now and then, we wouldn’t appreciate the good!

i’m doing much better today after talking with HP and other things in general. i’m so tired of the extreme ups and downs. one day i’m miserable and the next i’m completely happy. doesn’t make sense even to me.

my stomach is in knots, i feel like i could throw up. or pass out.

sometimes i wonder what i’m even doing.

i’m having such an awesome birthday and i swear, it just keeps getting better and better! just when i was sooo happy (and super thankful!!) for the wonderfully dreamy skein of rainbow sock yarn gift, i get yet another birthday present, part deux!! my loverly K proceeds to drive me to Twisted for completely unexpected birthday SEX (Stash Enhancing eXpedition, for any noobs and/or perverts out there). i had spent the morning perusing fingering weight patterns on Rav and had decided on Endpaper Mitts. i’ve wanted to make those for quite some time now but had never gotten around to it. this is the perfect opportunity!!

so now i have a skein of Rain Beau and a skein of heavenly soft Louet in black. :) i’m so excited to CO in less than 15 minutes on our last break. then another hour and a half and i’m out of here for the day!! i’ll be free! :D

today is SUCH a great day!!

so far i’m having a wonderful day. :) here are the fabulous things that have happened so far (and it’s only 8:30am!):

• -i woke up this morning to my HP singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to me.
• -no road rage this morning, i was either in an unusually good mood or there weren’t people out to get me this morning. either way, it was a pleasant drive in.
• -i got SOCK YARN!! :D first official, wrapped present of the day!! it’s a skein of Perchance to Knit in ‘Rain Beau’ and it’s nothing less than fab. i can’t wait to peruse sock patterns on Rav again to be inspired.

CK just asked me if i’m prepared to retire or die soon. LOL since when is 23 old??

i haven’t laughed that hard in a while. i needed that. :)

he who is responsible for most of my work drama tried to get me in serious trouble again today. the difference btwn today and last time? this time it backfired on him and he was the one who got reprimanded. i have to admit, it was highly satisfying.
